AAcropolis of Athens - UNESCO World heritage site is the best known acropolis - acropolis in Greek means Highest City. In english it is called Citadel. It is actually a flat topped rock that rises about 150 m above the sea level. The Acropolis of Athens is also known as Cecropia, after the legendary seprent man, Cecrops, the first Athenian King.
Bûche de Noël
This is a traditional dessert served during the Christmas holidays in French, Belgium, Quebec, Lebanon, Vietnam, and in UK
Bûches are often served with a portion of one end of the cake cut off and set on top of the cake or protruding from its side to resemble a chopped off branch, and bark-like texture is often produced in the buttercream for further realism.
The cake is generally prepared, presented, and garnished so as to look like a log ready for the fire.
The Great Wall Of China
was built along the northern borders of China mainly to protect the Chinese Empire from the intrusion by the nomadic groups. Started by the First Emperor Of China Qin Shi Huang.
It stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west along the arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of the Inner Mongolia.
The entire Great wall with all its branches stretches for 8851.8km (made up of 6259.6 km of actual wall, 359.7 km of trenches and 2232.5km of natural defensive barriers such as hills and rivers.
As claimed in the Rippleys Believe it or Not, to be visible from moon. It is Not. Even not visible from the lower earth orbit.
Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan @ 3776.24 m. Along with Mount Tate & Mount Haku, it is one of the "Three Holy Mountains" of Japan. It is an active stratovolcano & last erupted in 1707. Mount Fuji is located at the triple junction where the Amurian Plate, the Okhotsk Plate, and the Philippine Sea Plate meet
Mount Fuji is located near Pacific coast of central Honshu, just west of Tokyo. Three small cities surround it Gotemba to South, Fujiyoshida to North & Fujinomiya to south-west. It is surrounded by five lakes – Lake Kawaguchi ; Lake Yamanaka ; lake Sai ; Lake Motosu & lake Shoji. The mountain is a part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The temp is low at high alt and most of the months the top of cone is covered with snow. Lowest temp -370C & Highest is just 170C.
At the base of mountain is the forest Aokigahara. This forest, Aokigahara is the world's second most popular suicide location.
