Islington Commission, 1912 a royal commission was formed to reccommend reform in Public Servies in British India with Lord Islington as its chairman. A ten member commission with 3 Indians was formed and it worked based upon three principles : First, to maintain the high standards of Civil Administration in British India. Second, to safeguard the paramount interests of British rule & Third, to satisfy the reasonable aspiration of Indians and promote friendly relations between Indians and Europeans for better administration. The commission completed its report in 1915, but due to the outbreak of First World War, the report was published only in 1917.
